thankyou Gudrun, thats great if your friend can help us out with the hoop if we are having one, but i forgot to mention that Fabio told me on friday that he has many contacts in the circus proffession and he could possibly get hold of one if you cant. he said he will talk to Lucy about it and get back to me.

interesting about the sea topic ill bear it in mind and do some research!

  1. Fabio mentioned to me that this particular piece of ariel equimpent is particularly difficult to master. We can discuss with him other options We had a great meeting with Jules who thinks we can light the women on them..ie: with lights sewed into the costumes. Maybe costume could talk about that..it might make the hoop redundant?? Still not sure. Lucy

Personally, I think the main thing is to have the women presented in a way that a) creates an image that is both beautiful and disturbing, and b) is appropriate for their characters - having the Muse in a frame works, and Countess on the platform is good because it's a space that hasn't previously been used and the Girl has to search for her ("Where is she, I wonder?"). So I think the Diva should be presented in a way that reflects her character/history (death?) and intention.
