Now, Krish and Jules DON'T PANIC! We're not planning to buy this actual one, just to make our own version of it. We reckon we can create a pretty good copy by getting a black slip, sewing lots of curved panels of black "I-can't-believe-it's-not-silk" on it and hitching them up.

We think that, with the addition of hair, make-up, boots and ripped stockings, it will give the wild rock-chick look that the Mother needs for her entrance. It would also be the dress that the Marquis sends her at the beginning, making for sweet revenge on the Mother's part.

Also, please don't take it personally if we haven't drawn your potential costume yet - it's simply because some costumes have been more difficult to design while the character has been developing. The run yesterday gave all of us in Costume a clearer picture of the characters and their journeys, so we now have more ideas and will be creating further designs in the next week.

The main goals for the Costume Department this week are as follows:

* Create one Girl's basic costume (onto which extras will be added for each scene) - we'll use Jenny for this

* Design initial costumes for all remaining characters - obviously the designs will be subject to approval by Lucy, but expect to see them pinned up in the Production Office for perusal. Hopefully we can finalise what everyone's costume is by the end of the week, as time is ticking in a most disturbing fashion...

* Begin work on costumes we already know need making pretty much from scratch - mainly the Nanny, but also the Girl's nightdress, and the Dead Women

* Supply a Ruby Choker and Opal Rings for rehearsals - do comment if you feel there is anything else urgently required for rehearsals.
