Character Images

Hi everyone

I just want to say how helpful it is to see people's character images from a costume point of view - not necessarily because of what clothes are worn in the pictures, but because it's really useful to know how you guys see your character. Some of the images have been very surprising and made me think of the character in a different way, which in turn may inspire new ideas for costume.

Personally I think that the most important goal for a costume department is to be able to provide an actor with a costume that, when they finally put it on after weeks of rehearsal, will represent the missing piece of the puzzle, so that the actor feels, "Yes, now I am this character"

So, do keep posting images that you feel embody aspects of your character - although please avoid the temptation to post pictures that are only about the costume! It's more to do with who your character is and, since you know and explore them in more detail than we do, all insights into their nature will help us. Rachel and Jasmine in particular, but also anyone who hasn't posted images here, it will be very useful for us to know how you are starting to view your character.
